Can a Bank change! Wells Fargo have a blog

In a brilliant move Wells have introduced a blog. They have bypassed the issues about why a blog is necessary, and how it works for a bank, with all the associate internal politics, by focussing on Wells Fargo and San Francisco history.

Guided by History

Interactive Tour. In creating this blog, we had so many photographs from our archives to choose from it was difficult to select only one or two pictures per post. There are also events that just make more sense when seen in animation, like the progress of the fire within the city. The tour will allow you to explore and learn more about posts that interest you. Or, you can start with the tour and find your way back into related blog posts. Should be fun. Watch for this the first week of April.

They already have an RSS feed, here that has the same focus on history.

Relevance to Bankwatch:

Blogs have established themselves as a medium to interact at a more consumer friendly and timely level than web sites.  Kudo’s to Wells for creatively getting into the blog/ feed space, and trying it out.  Who knows where this will take them.
