Scoble makes a point here on the “Wikipedia out of cash” meme, that TechMeme doesn’t link to the appropriate blogs.  There is a big story emanating from LIFT about Wikipedia.  The point is not the story … the point is the reporting of the story, and the people who had the relevant and original reporting.

TechMeme and Digg both have the problem of being very focussed on a small group of bloggers.  Here is why I worry about this.  Discussion are starting about the next kind of search, based on collective intelligence.  The wiki model for search, where results are filtered based upon users input.

If that search model falls into the trap that Digg and TechMeme have, it won’t work for the masses.
