The ever observant Paul at Finextra notes PayPal’s new blog, that demonstrates all the right attributes for a corporate blog. It just opened, and only four posts, but one to watch based on their strong opening, as an example of approach for Banks to consider. Here is the feed.
PayPal shows banks how to blog
“We created The PayPal Blog as a forum for PayPal employees to engage with you — to connect you with the leaders of our company and capture their insights and opinions. Most importantly, we want to hear your thoughts.”
… … …
“Most importantly, we want your feedback. If you like our point of view, let us know. And if you don’t, please tell us why.”
Somehow, I can’t imagine the top brass of the old school banks ever appearing so approachable online.
PayPal has comprehensively outpaced the traditional banking establishment in the online payments space, is it about to do the same in the blogosphere?
Relevance to Bankwatch:
Following the Javelin post about why all Banks must blog there has been much debate on that topic. I fall on the side that everyone should have a plan to blog, but if the pre-requistites are not in place, then bank strategy must address them. Those pre-requisites have to be determined by each Bank, but the simple test is this:
‘if your Bank does not feel comfortable with a blog, then your customer focus is suspect’.

Online purchases with credit cards are no longer secure, You don’t know who steals your information and especially when you are buying services, you always have that uneasy feeling of getting charged again and again. But with my work and tight schedules I sure do need a virtual assistant, it didn’t matter where she worked from but the biggest issue was paying her.My search ended when I found Gabrielle on Virtualservicespark. She was the best. I paid only for the services I needed, so there was no worry of being charged over and over agian. Also this is one service provide that accepted payments through paypal and I didn’t even have to reveal my credit card info to them. I could buy the hours from the wide range of services they offer online.
Anyone look for excellent support, timely deliver & above all best security. If you are one like me then go visit http://www.virtualservicespark.com
