Till now this service has been reserved for airports in Canada, so its nice to hear that its being rolled out generally. While Banks here debate how to implement pin free debit or smart card electronic purse, this Visa product is a category killer in my view. Its simple fast and convenient, and only one receipt for customers, unlike the two ‘would you like those stapled together’ receipt dance that accompanies debit.
RBC p2p – the latest RBC p2p stuff
Well, in any case the Visa no signature required program is here in Canada and so now when you go to buy a coffee, a parking ticket, rent a movie, the cinema or the convenience store you wont have to sign for your purchase and the vendor is not even required to give you a receipt for the transaction.
On a related note, what well written posts from the students blogging at RBC P2P. Also RBC could lose the “You are now leaving this Web site.” landing page. If I click a link I think I know I am leaving; its been that way since 1991.

Well, obviously RBC is a Visa-issuer…
Mastercard has the (exact?) same program in place for purchases up to $25 too
I’m not sure who implemented it first, but that doesn’t really matter at this point.
