New York, NY (December 9, 2008) – Some of the biggest names in Internet video, including Barely Political, You Suck at Photoshop, and Jake and Amir, are touting the benefits of entering The Webby Awards as part of a special video campaign launching today.
To promote the call for entries for The 13th Annual Webby Awards, the masterminds behind the Internet’s most popular videos were enlisted to create five wildly original takes on why every aspiring Internet star should want a Webby on their mantle. Starting today through December 12th, The Webby Awards will premiere one video each day at http://webbys.tumblr.com.

The participants include the creators of such past Webby nominees and winners as “Obama Girl” (Barely Political: http://barelypolitical.com/), “You Suck at Photoshop” (Big Fat Brain: http://wordpress.com/tag/big-fat-brain/), “It’s Jerry Time!” (www.itsjerrytime.com), and “Tony and Paul”(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJzU3NjDikY). Collegehumor.com stars “Jake and Amir” (www.jakeandamir.com) created the first original video for the project.
