Owen Bennett-Jones is a freelance journalist and writer. A former BBC correspondent and presenter he has been a resident foreign correspondent in Bucharest, Geneva, Islamabad, Hanoi and Beirut. He is recently wrote a history of the Bhutto dynasty which was published by Yale University Press.

Anastasia Nesvetailova is Director in Macroeconomic and Development Policies Professor at UNCTAD GDS.
Anastasia’s main research focuses on the structure of the global financial system, processes of financialization, financial crises and governance. Her key publications include Fragile Finance: Debt, Speculation and Crisis in the Age of Global Credit (2007), Financial Alchemy in Crisis: The Great Liquidity Illusion (2010) and Shadow Banking Scope, Origins Theories (2017). In addition, Prof. Nesvetailova has authored numerous academic and media articles on financial crises, stability and regulation.
She is currently working on the political economy of financial innovation, systemic risk, shadow banking and wealth management.
