To be clear, I have no comment on religion here: my interest is solely the future of AI and evolution to 1. AGI 2. specialist use for medical, clinical, cybersecurity, military, document management etc etc.

This is a seminal document when we consider the frame and global impact the Vatican has on the world. AI brings many interested parties who are attempting to understand the nature and impact on humanity.

One element I study is the nature of thought, ethics, reason and the host of discussion points that have been considered by philosophy particularly over the few hundred years considered by leading influences over thousands of years on Ethics, morality, freedom, law and order, and a host of other human conditions. I recognize my limitations and fully expect AI to explore a myriad of alternative conditions and considerations.

Can their influence be programmed? I fail to see how: However AI is becoming better at understanding literature, and inference. We don’t yet know how that will evolve but I do not see how human influence on AI outputs could be better than the inference skills we are seeing so far. He introduces importance of dignity and equality: is that a frame that requires additional human impact than already exists in philosophy. This document purports to do just that and somehow influence outputs which would be different than pointing out impact of outputs to ethical and moral frameworks.

Even philosophy is not equally distributed across cultures and how should AI react there?

A fascinating thought experiment will follow this document with extremes between rules and guardrails to openness following existing philosophical principles.
