Productivity growth levels comparable to those seen during the Industrial Revolution through AGI development will likely require extensive interdisciplinary collaboration

Here are some key areas of collaboration that seem necessary, with speculative examples drawing parallels to Industrial Revolution innovations: Speculating further, we might see the emergence of entirely new interdisciplinary fields, such as “AGI-Human Symbiosis Studies” or “Cognitive Economics,” which could drive innovations we can hardly imagine today. The key to achieving Industrial Revolution-level productivity growth will likely lie in fostering a collaborative ecosystem where these diverse disciplines can cross-pollinate ideas and rapidly translate theoretical breakthroughs into practical applications. Do you see yourself as a leader? Do you see yourself as a leader? Yes, I consider myself a natural leader because there are no rules no objection, only one agenda to work, engage, learn and be active with a sense of knowledge accept the subordinates suggestions and feedback to take our growth to the next level, accept failure and don’t blame the team, when it comes to success we need to say it is team work. As leader enjoy helping others learn new things, and, as a manager, it’s very satisfying to me to help my team develop their skills. However, … Continue reading

My first attempt at a Manifesto for Responsible AI

Regulation of AI has become a cottage industry amongst Western governments. As reported by TechCrunch and captured here, “U.S., U.K. and the European Union signed up to a treaty on AI safety laid out by the Council of Europe (COE)” The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe brings together parliamentarians from the Council of Europe’s 46 member States. Its mission is to uphold the shared values of human rights, democracy and the rule of law. The Assembly uncovers human rights violations, monitors whether states keep their promises and makes recommendations. In the field of AI, it has adopted a set of resolutions … Continue reading My first attempt at a Manifesto for Responsible AI

Deloitte analysis of 10 years … 4,000 global organizations digital transformation … enterprise value

Our analysis of 10 years of financial disclosures from more than 4,000 global organizations reveals where digital transformation actions can increase enterprise value—and, just as importantly, where they can erode it. Digital transformation is on everyone’s agenda. But the hardest part of any transformation is not deciding whether to embark on it; it’s understanding whether you’re seeing distinctive returns on your investment. Organizations often struggle to determine which actions drive the most impact and which investments yield the most enterprise value. We examined which actions can increase the odds of transformation success, and we identified the actions that drive value: … Continue reading Deloitte analysis of 10 years … 4,000 global organizations digital transformation … enterprise value

August 23, 2024 | Article By Ari Libarikian,  Chris Hagedorn,  Matt Banholzer, and Ryan NguyenShare PrintDownload With the economy still in flux, established companies could potentially unlock and sustain growth by building new businesses while simultaneously transforming the core. DOWNLOADS Article (8 pages) In recent years, the world has experienced significant disruptions to the global economy—with lasting effects. Elevated inflation, though easing in some parts of the world, remains a serious issue, and heightened geopolitical tensions show no signs of dissipating. High interest rates continue for now, and volatile commodity prices also persist. It’s become increasingly clear that these disruptions may not be temporary; rather, they … Continue reading Dual transformation: Optimizing the core and building new businesses

How Walmart is using AI to improve its business, and save money

Relevance to Bankwatch Walmart report on business use of Gen AI to make adjustments to 860 million catalogue items at a speed of 100 times faster than humans. Said another way it would take average employees 100 times longer. This type of scaling is what we hear of in military and intelligence operations. I look forward to hearing more business examples to counter the evolving doubts appearing on the near term productivity from AI. Heads up to The Rundown AI. —-/— ByTomi Kilgore Marketwatch. CEO Doug McMillon said on the post-earnings call with analysts that Walmart was finding “tangible ways” … Continue reading How Walmart is using AI to improve its business, and save money

Bidenomics- hardly game changing

“Yes, at the margin, there’ll be some more chips made here. Is it going to be, are we going to get 30%, 40%, 50% of global production? No, nowhere near that. Is the ED revolution going to continue? I don’t think the $7,500 rebate is going to drive that. What’s going to drive that is ultimately market economics and innovation. You might coax another mile or two per gallon out of internal combustion engines, but if there’s going to be a tech breakthrough, it’s going to be across the battery platforms and the mileage and the range and the pricing … Continue reading Bidenomics- hardly game changing

UK opportunity – Ian Martin

This is Iain Martin’s weekly newsletter, exclusively for Reaction subscribers. A most clear analysis of situation and opportunities for Britain. Don’t blow it Sir Keir. It is the Sunday after the Saturday, after the Friday, after the long night before, and you have probably had enough of the UK general election by now. If you are in Britain and were watching the television coverage that means you had to watch 27 hours of Alastair Campbell, the former Labour spin doctor and now full-time podcaster, who was on everything every time I turned over. At one point he or a body double … Continue reading UK opportunity – Ian Martin
